The Sector Event content type is prepared for events with a defined start and end date, and a physical location. The 'event type' taxonomy allows you to sort and filter events into groups - such as board meetings or training sessions.
The Events Content type is another example for taxonomy (or data) driven content. Events and News items have similar fieldsets and displays; however their data type is different.
